Team
We are primarily based in the School of Geographical Sciences at the University of Bristol.
Here we have access to first class lab space and instrumentation to measure the concentration and isotopic composition of greenhouse gases, water and soil chemistry, concentrations of H2 at sub-ambient concentrations, and to characterise microbial communities and microbial function.
We will shortly be looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join our team. Please keep an eye out for a new vacancy coming mid-2023.

Jack Bishop
Jack is a former PhD student at the University of Liverpool quantifying greenhouse gas fluxes from urban waterways. Jack now works at Wessex Water in the southwest of England. His research included: identifying spatial patterns of methane emissions from urban waterways, determining key drivers and controls of methane emission from urban waterways, and using stable methane isotopes and radiocarbon to determine source and origins of emission. Jack received his MSc in Environmental Diagnosis and Management, and BSc (Hons) in Environmental Geology from Royal Holloway, University of London. |
